Daily desk rental and casual offices

Across two spacious levels we offer a wide range of casual and flexible desk spaces and hot desks for individual creatives and freelancers to rent. Desks are available for single day (hot desk), casual (3 days a week) and full-time (7 days a week) hire.

If you’re working as a freelancer, our flexible desk options give you the ability to work in a creative office environment with all the resources of an established office but without lock-in contracts. You can upgrade or downgrade depending upon your own business conditions with the flexibility to get extra space when you’re busy with big projects or want to invite clients for important meetings.

Amenities include super fast internet, 2 serviced kitchens, working spaces and lockable storage. Full time members also have full access to meeting rooms, board rooms and community events.

Hot desking at Independent Studios

Many creatives such as freelance web designers or marketing experts now only need a laptop and are comfortable working from multiple locations. For these professionals we offer hot desks. Hot desks are a great alternative to permanent offices giving independent contractors the flexibility to immerse themselves in an office environment on demand with the basic essentials they need to work effectively on their own projects.

Hot desking at Independent Studios is tailored towards creatives to use a work space on a one-off basis whenever they need it. We offer the space and the freedom for any innovative freelancer to work on personal projects with basic essential resources such as internet, kitchen facilities and phone facilities. Hot desks are available to rent for a single day without any ongoing fees and have the benefit of working alongside other professional creatives and start-ups in Melbourne.

    • Headquarters For Your Business
    • Provision of a flexi desk - setup your office cost-effectively but still possibly work from the home studio or a remote client site for 1-3 days per week.  Access M-F 9am - 5pm.
    • Includes fibre based internet, wifi usage - unlimited downloads.
    • Includes use of some prebooked meeting room time (2hours per mth) to enable client meetings.
    • Includes access to onsite tea, coffee facilities.
    • Includes invitations to community events and networking opportunities.
    • Access to boardtable at our standard published rates less member discount.
    • Access to kitchen facilities at hot desk rate less member discount.
    • Access to storage options - long term, samples, lockers or bike at member rates

    • Includes use of boardtable for client meetings, unlimited meeting room time to enable supplier, collaborator or client meetings.
    • Includes access to full kitchen, fridges, expresso coffee machine, freshly ground coffee, tea, sandwich makers, microwaves - enough to make breakfast, lunch or dinner.
    • Includes invitations to community events and networking opportunities.
    • Includes storage options - long term, samples, lockers or bike.
    • Access to locked storage options at member rates.

    • Access phone services - option additional $25pm landline diverted to your mobile or email.

    • Includes use of boardtable for client and team meetings, unlimited meeting room time to enable supplier, collaborator or client meetings.
    • Includes access to full kitchen, fridges, expresso coffee machine, freshly ground coffee, tea, sandwich makers, microwaves - enough to make breakfast, lunch or dinner.
    • Includes invitations to community events and networking opportunities.
    • Includes storage options - long term, samples, lockers or bike.
    • Access to locked storage options at member rates.
    • Includes use of office address, mail receipt, and general reception services
    • Access to our phone services - $25 landline diverted to your mobile or email.
    • Full access for late night working with overseas HQ or offices. Split access permissions for different members of the team as required.
    • Price above is for our basic startup team space.  Prices are generally bundled into groups of 2,4,6 with volume discounts applied. $400 pp pm is for a sample 4 person workspace.  Ask us if our basic team space for $1500 (4pax) is available, or our much loved sunroom space $2500 for 5 pax min. (all ex gst) or  private offices if your team requires this type of environment.
